Dedicated in part to *Darkwel, who received the mask once I had finished with it.

Edit: HDR-ed the image and overlayed it at 50% with the original to make it less extreme.

The suit was my great grandfathers, vintage 1940. The mask is Cold War surplus, c.1960s. The book is equally old, being a 1950s print of Emerson.

Very cool picture. The combination of a gas mask and a suit is either darkly amusing or surreal, or both. I like it. :)

It's an idea I had been thinking of for a good while. The reason it's probably so different is because it was going to be a traditional piece before realized I could pull it off as a photograph.
